Our involvement with the extension and revitalisation of an inner city multi-residential boutique guest house has been one of the most rewarding commercial projects that we have done. The new three storey extension to the existing property included 15 bedrooms, two large living bedrooms with bathrooms, share bathroom and two communal kitchens. There was a bridge connecting the existing to new area, which created a great outdoor social area on the top floor and seamless transition between buildings on the middle level. On the ground floor we built a new gym area and laundry room, as well as two separate private living quarters with their own ensuite and kitchenette. The original building with its 14 bedrooms was also renovated.

A book could be written on this renovation, access restrictions, difficult neighbours, body corps, fire regulations and continual red tape with council. The written word cannot describe the stress and challenges we faced but Ryan was there till the end, always a cool head, positive and never giving up. Today it is a beautiful 29 room guest house in the heart of New Farm with close to 100% occupancy.”
